Is the race going ahead?

Where will the finish line be?

What’s happening this year?

Rumours have been floating around marinas and yacht clubs for a few months now with many wondering if the 2nd Brisbane to Keppel Tropical Yacht Race will actually go ahead.

With Great Keppel Island currently undergoing a major reconstruction, the race needed to have an alternate finish to ensure it would go ahead this year. Keppel Bay Marina have come on board and will be hosts for the yachts upon finishing.

The Notice of Race and other documentation are now available for download from the revamped website. Online payment will be available within the week. The accommodation listing is also available for download and competitors are advised to get in early with their bookings.

With the race being such a success in its inaugural year, popular demand ensured the start would go ahead in 2008 as the Brisbane to Keppel Tropical Yacht Race is the ideal way for yachts to travel north who are competing in the Meridian Marinas Airlie Beach Race Week and Hamilton Island Race Week.

Over 30 yachts have already shown interest to race again this year, including inaugural winners Wedgetail who cleaned up in both IRC and PHS. The number of entrants is only likely to increase as the years progress.
